Adidas Skateboarding introduces the Sam Narvaez Pro Model ADV, a unique spin on the unmistakable silhouette inspired by Narvaez’s Cuban-American heritage. Located an hour south of Miami, most skateboarders wouldn’t describe the island of Key Largo as a skater’s paradise, but most skateboarders don’t have Narvaez’s determination.

She’s quickly making a name for herself with her clean style on the board and a knack for turning the region’s hurricane debris and abandoned basketball courts into gritty spots all her own — a must when you live in a tourist town.

Now, as she solidifies her place as an underground hero, she’s bringing a little bit of Florida Keys flavor to the rest of the world. The Sam Narvaez Pro Model ADV is just the beginning. Narvaez’s design celebrates her hometown of Key Largo.

The shoe itself, a durable silhouette with a premium tumbled leather upper, soft terry lining, and grippy rubber sole, exemplifies the Pro Model’s transformation from a court shoe to a board classic, while the subtle custard cream accents, pie-crust insole, and a set of lime green laces draws from Narvaez’s love of key lime pie — a regional favorite that originated in the Florida Keys.

Sam embodies what skateboarding is through her passion for skating and the community around it. When creating her first colorway with adidas, she was designing not only for herself, but also for those close to her that have brought her to where she is today. DESIGN.

When designing her shoe, Sam took inspirations from her home in the Florida Keys, family, and love of cooking, while still creating a shoe that anyone can wear.
