New Balance Numeric is excited to bring to you the 480BOS, the first signature colorway by Andrew Reynolds. Andrew Reynolds has had an illustrious career that spans over three decades. He has managed to leave a lasting impact on skateboarding culture not only as a professional but also as an entrepreneur and role model to millions worldwide. Originally designed as a basketball shoe in 1983, New Balance Numeric has remixed the 480 by making a more robust, durable version for sustained use in the streets. The Andrew Reynolds x New Balance Numeric 480 utilizes modern New Balance technology such as a full-length FuelCell midsole for primed propulsion, an Ndurance rubber outsole for increased grip, and a molded Abzorb insole to enhance comfort and reduce strain from impact. Elsewhere you will find other features such as the reinforced eyerow, the double-layered toe cap for durability, modified tread for improved traction, and sturdy heel counter for stability and support. The sneaker is also designed with an upper consisting of brushed nubuck overlaying premium suede with leather accents and a “Reynolds” signature tongue tag. “During one of my first meetings with New Balance Numeric, the team showed me the 480 and asked, ‘Would you skate this?’ I was blown away because it’s exactly what I had been wanting–a vintage cupsole shoe with a modernized foam midsole.” – Andrew Reynolds
